Now in its fifth year, the competition offers young designers an opportunity to showcase theirskillsets through their interpretation of a predetermined design brief – this year put together by Cyril Naicker which is will be built on the concept of Slow Fashion with emphasis on designing for a sustainable future with a changing consumer mindset.
The competition is open to designers who:
- Designers who are graduating this year
- Designers who have recently graduated (in the past 5 years)
- Designers who are currently part of a design internship program.
The competition features prizes valued at more than R80 000,00 with the main prize being an all-expenses paid opportunity to participate at Texworld Paris in 2023 - depending on travel restrictions and includes a R15 000 cash prize for the winner and R 5000 for the runner up.
